David and Myran Bouldin were brothers who were tobacco farmers in Trinity, NC. They had a “falling out” over money and land one day, David moved his family up to High Point and the brothers never spoke again. David built 1111 Forest Hill Drive using most of the builidng materials (timbers, wood, stone, etc…) from one of the tobacco farms in Trinity. It was built during WWII so building materials were scarce, he used as much locally as he could. *
ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS OF THE HOUSE.
This two-story, side-gabled, Colonial Revival-style house is five bays wide and double-pile. It has German-profile weatherboards, an exterior brick chimney in the left (east) elevation, and vinyl windows. The two-light-over-four-panel door has an elaborate, paneled surround and is sheltered by a
front-gabled porch supported by brackets with decorative finials. A one-story, side-gabled wing extends from the right (west) elevation and a one-story, side-gabled porch on the left elevation is supported by square posts and has been enclosed with windows. A hip-roofed section extends from the left elevation of the left wing. The earliest known occupant is David L.
